Network Marketing Success: Train Your Brain For Success (Part 3)

When you initially get involved in the network marketing business, your mentor or sponsor usually tries to coach you on achieving network marketing success. One of the first things they coach in is developing your "why". They tell you to write down your why.

It typically goes something like, "Why do you want to do this? For most people the first response is to make more money.

Dig deeper we are told, "Why do you want more money?" We typically answer, " So I can spend more time with my family or kids." Why do you want to spend more time with the kids? And so on and we are told to dig until we find that "why that makes us cry".

But finding the "why that makes us cry" is frequently not good enough. When the times get rough, it doesn't carry us through and we throw in the towel and quit. So what's wrong?

Network marketing success demands that you create a vision of what you want your life to be like. Another way to say it is to create a vision of who you want to become. What does the future "you" look like? Where does he go? What does he do? "I have the freedom to travel the world", you might say. Now there is a positive affirmation. Create that vision in your mind and say it to yourself every day. "I have the time and financial freedom to travel the world"

Look in a mirror, look in your eyes. Write it down, say it to yourself. Say it in the morning when you wake up, say it in the evening right before you go to sleep. Maybe traveling the world is not your thing. Maybe you want to play golf five times each week. OK. Then tell yourself that you have the time and financial freedom to play golf five times each week.

Once again, you are telling your brain, in present tense, in positive words, what your life is like. And your subconscious mind hears all this and it doesn't know the difference between present physical reality and future possibility. It only knows what it is told. So if you tell your subconscious mind it plays golf five times each week, it will begin to believe it and it will move toward finding a way to make it happen. If you tell it you travel, it will find a way to get that done.

So creating affirmations is a way to begin to rewire or retrain your brain to accept a new reality for yourself.
