First Few Weeks
The first thing you need to establish once you start training your Puggle is a routine, which should be followed by you and your new pet . The dog is of a small breed so choke collars, prong collars, electronic collars, and head halters are not necessary and may even cause death. Successful Puggle training needs patience, much love, adequate attention, and immediate action. Balance your pet's life with consistency and firmness. You can be sure that it will grow up to be a well-mannered and obedient best friend.

Balance Emotions
Never forget that your dog is still a dog and NOT a human being. Too much affection is unhealthy as it could lead to unacceptable behavior like excessive barking and whimpering each time your pet wants to ask for something. Enforce timely disciplinary action to prevent your Puggle from developing bad habits. At the same time, total neglect would leave your dog mistrustful and fierce.

Socialization
Puggle training should also involve the development of social skills with human beings and with other dogs. Dogs by instinct have the need to establish their dominance over each other. If you are able to teach your pet at home that you are the master, puppies grow up to be well-adjusted adults. Make it a point to take your pet to social outings within a period of 12 weeks. Encourage activities like a "pet party" in the house. It is also a good idea to bring your puppy in public places such as the local park and take it for short car rides.
