Pattaya Florist Wins Chelsea Garden Flower Show

Nongnuch Botanical Garden won the renowned Asian Culture and Plants Gold Medal at the 2010 Chelsea Garden Flower show. The statement was made by the Nongnuch Garden Director Dr. Kamphon Tonsatja who confirmed that a Pattaya florist had earned the prestigious prize. The floristry association of Thailand was pleased by the announcement and there are intentions to present again at next years show. This was Thailand's first entry into the tournament and Thai citizens were very happy to have earned the Gold Medal at this famous tournament.

The floral show was designed to highlight the various and exciting tradition of Thailand. The flower arrangement consisted of a number of valuable Buddhist statues plus a Spirit House, flanked by a number of the wonderful plants which are indigenous to Thailand and other areas of South East Asia. The flower arrangement showed Thailand's culture, heritage and traditions with different portions of the flower arrangement representing the various facets of Thai life and calendar.

The award was presented to by the RHS, the Royal Horticultural Society that was set up over 200 years ago. The RHS is the supporter of The Chelsea Flower Show, one of the world's leading flower shows.

Members of the British Monarchy said on Thailand's exhibit and said it was a lively showcase of flowers and an unbelievable display of tropical vegetation and sculptures.

The leading temple in Pattaya has decided to have the flower display taken back to Thailand where it will be included in the decoration for the morning call to prayer for the monks. The flowers will be refreshed each day. The gold medal is currently being exhibited in Pattaya at the Nongnuch Gardens.
The Nonnuch flower garden is a lovely oasis of vegetation, tropical ferns and palms and a spot for Pattaya florists to showcase their wonderful flower arrangements. Various other destinations of the Nongnuch Gardens comprise of Thai culture shows, elephant shows, boating, walking and running.

Nonthaburi connects to Bangkok through the Chao Phraya river which have served the country both as an important communication route and as a way of protection against Thailand's enemies.

Among Nonthaburi's points of interest is the Suan Tan Noi flower gardens. Suan Tan Noi is a flower garden located on the Banks of the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok. The flower gardens are set amongst an orchard and traditional homes and also a hill-tribe village.
