Post forming laminates are thinner and can be bent. If your countertop edges are more rounded then the machine that forms the countertop will have to heat the laminate while bending it around the edges. They are as bargain basement in price as they are in the array of colors and designs when compared to the standard 2 in laminate. When buying formica tops be sure of what you want before you buy it and ask about the product you are buying and find out how suitable it is.

If you really are stretched and there is no money to spend on a quality counter top then formica tops are what you should buy. They can last for a surprisingly long time, are easy to clean and are resistant to stains. There is a High Density or high definition formica tops that is available from Wilson Art and other manufacturers who constantly improve their product lines are also always improving their laminate kitchen countertops.

Besides formica tops being the lowest end of the line, laminate countertops are usually laid out on a wooden base, like plastic tiling can be laid out on the floor temporarily to cover the concrete slab underneath. The Counter top needs to be kept dry so that it does not wear off sooner than it should or get damaged.
