It is 80% stronger than oak and can stand up to high traffic areas. Brazilian Cherry wood can be sanded and refinished without jeopardizing the quality of the materials.

Brazilian Cherry wood is also great in kitchens and bathrooms. They have a great moisture repellant so they can withstand the moisture that it would constantly be exposed to in those areas.

Unless the homeowner is an experienced woodworker, it is recommended that a professional is hired to install either cherry wood flooring. Brazilian cherry wood is extremely hard to work with because of the natural hardness of the wood. Without experience, cutting and laying the wood would be a tiring and time consuming project. The softness of American cherry wood would also slow down a project. Knowing where the soft wood should be installed is also a tricky part of the project.
