But short and crisp should be your ultimate goal. Don't Brag About Yourself: The very last thing you want to do in your podcast is brag about who you are and what makes you so wonderful. While a small introduction about yourself might be needed at times, taking yourself too seriously won't make your readers happy. One thing to always be thinking about is that the reason people are listening to your podcast is because they want to get something of value from it. It's not about "you", its about "them". You shouldn't keep reminding your listeners again and again how you're the expert of your niche or how you can save the economy from going down. If you're good - it will show. Period.

Keep in Mind That the Podcast Isn't For Lectures: A podcast is a way to informally connect with as many people as possible. Podcasts are not used as a forum to deliver a lecture where a person might want to sit and take notes, but rather as an informal bit of information that a person could listen to when waiting for a train, bus or someone to arrive.

Be sure to pay attention to this when creating your podcast so that you can tone it down and offer good quality in a short time period.
