The gardener must begin with a good garden spot for the plants. Garden plants need sunshine, water and a nurturing soil as a foundation. However, plants does not simply thrive on any garden setting no matter how nurturing the soil, sunshine or enough the water supply is. Likewise, there are plants that thrive on a tropical, desert, humid and frigid climate. Given that, gardeners select plants that can withstand the climate present.

Moreover, the garden design is, also, as equally important as the things mentioned above because it serves as the backbone of the garden. Nevertheless, it is a continuous process, thus, may vary or develop as the time and the trends in gardening passes. Moreover, maintenance entails diligence, patience and creativity. Some plants need to be tended everyday while some can go well with monthly pruning. Other plants may also get most of the sunshine and water supply. Plants can also grow fast, thus, destroying the design or other garden plants. This needs to be pruned regularly. Some plants may also need replanting especially after winter season. Besides this, pest can be a damaging presence in the garden. The gardener must meticulously observe for possible plague to prevent damage in the garden.

Gardening is an extraordinary activity that is not as simple as planting, watering and pruning the plants. Hence, it is a gardeners leisure pursuit that entails so much love and appreciation for the art to arrive or to create a magnificent sanctuary. Certainly, gardening is something that does not give love if not loved. At the end of the day, gardeners felt rewarded for their hard work when they see the scenic landscape of blossoming flowers, changing leaves and harmonious atmosphere the garden presents.
