Understanding the kinds of fat you want to regulate is important since your objective is to be a healthier person.

2. Low carbohydrate diet is the type of diet that limits the intake of carbohydrate such as bread, beans, milk, rice, potatoes, and pastas. This diet is known to reduce blood cholesterol.
However, since carbohydrates are also essential to a person's health, it is recommended that you choose the best carbohydrate foods to eat and limit those that are less beneficial. Whole grains are best options. This diet really means choosing good carbohydrates, not "no carbohydrates."

3. Low calorie diet is a diet that focuses on the calorie intake of the person. It limits the foods that contain most of the calories. Calories are not bad your health. These are needed by the body for energy. However, if you eat too much of it and are not burning enough of them through certain activity, you might end up gaining weight.

If you eat a lot, then you will gain weight and it is therefore important that you should be conscious of what goes inside and how much enters the mouth and subsequently into the body. A balance diet and a nutritious meal are very important.

Quality of food intake should not be compromised even when under a strict diet program. Try to be more conscious and mindful that the body should still get the desired nutrition it needs each day.

Let us discuss each of the following stated health condition for a thorough understanding and knowledge of these:

1. hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism is an underlying factor in weight gain wherein the bodies insufficiently produce the hormone thyroid by the thyroid gland.
Thyroid hormone regulates the metabolism in both animals and humans. A deficiency of such hormone in the body would result to slowing down of body's metabolism.
