If you have a gift shop and you want to make a profit from it, you need to fill it with display ideas drawing people into it. The things you put inside should inspire people to buy. You can design and decorate your shop with good lighting and a good color combination. Display your gift items in places where people can comfortably reach for them. The design and decors must blend well with the items you display.

If you are selling bedroom items in your gift shop such as pillows, bed sheets, pillow cases, towels, and lamp shades, you can display a small hammock on the corner of the room. You can place the pillows and sheets on the hammock. You can also place the lamp shade on a bedside table near the hammock. If you are selling lotions and other bath accessories, you can place one set of such items on a shelf. You can also place them around the lamp shade.

If your gift shop offers kitchen utensils, you can place them in a shelf on one side of the room. Place cookbooks and baking accessories near the utensils. If you are selling gardening tools, you can place miniature potted plants on one shelf and decorate them around the gardening items. If you sell stationeries and specialty paper, you can cover old books with these specialty papers so that people will see how they can be used. You can place the stationery set on a small desk. The pens and pencils can be placed on pen stands above the desk. Make sure to put a desk chair too so that customers can sit on it as they try out the pens they wish to buy.
