The world is full of great yet real life love stories of everyday people who meet and connect immediately, yet other people search for unsuccessfully for the sweetheart of a life time date after date, a thought which sometimes hardly ever happens.

This is one of the numerous short love stories newlyweds have brought to light all throughout the years as I followed them on their happiest day.

It was late September when Mike and Cristina were introduced one night during the inauguration of a local eating place:

A quiet guy and not at all outgoing, Mike is remarkably simple and really romantic at heart, simple and direct with a calculated mindset and certain in relation to exactly what he appreciates.

Mike just could not identify a means around Craig's perseverance, most likely seeing Mike was intrigued (or at the very least curious) to meet the Italian cousin Cristina.

Mike and Cristina met at Paul's Commercial location at 8:00 PM

"Mike this is my cousin Cristina - she is Italian and comes from Florence" said Craig as his eyes sought Mike and Cristina.

Cristina is a refined and delightful woman, full of life with an artistic talent - a typical Italian beauty with dark skin and bright smile.

Mike did his best to delight Cristina, they were seated close to each other and explored one another's lives.

After a coarse beginning (Mike and Cristina were seated alongside each other) chat came to be relaxed and pleasurable. Mike accompanied Cristina home ending the evening with the regular saying "was nice meeting you Cristina".

Mike couldn't help but feel great that evening and proposed they meet again. He could clearly recall hearing her tell him in her English with an Italian accent:

"I'm leaving to pay a visit to my father's relations tomorrow but I will be back in 10 days maybe we can meet up once more ..."

Exactly 10 days later Mike called Cristina just back from her trip to upstate New York - Mike savored Cristina's company and Cristina felt really tranquil around Mike. That week end there was another weekend outing with buddies - Mike stopped for Cristina, they enjoyed dinner and the group decided to end the evening at the small-town disco.

It all finally clicked when the lights went out and the DJ slowed things down with the fairy-tale song "True" of Spandau Ballet.

Mike told me "we danced and as she got close I enjoyed an energy I had never felt before, I gently massaged her flowing hair and kissed her - she wrapped me with a hug I will never forget for as long as I live."

Can people be so in love after 25 years? Yes it's a possibility. Can people fall in love in a matter of hours and spend the rest of their lives together? Yes, it's possible.

Mike and Cristina have been together for 26 years and are still in love with one another as they were at the very beginning. Time changes countless things, there's nothing better than sweet love.
