Inspired by the intensity and ground-breaking designs of Formula 1 race cars, TAG Heuer created a watch that captures the essence of Formula 1 racing: precision, innovation, and intensity. Durable, precise, and reliable, with a dash of athletic appeal, TAG Heuer Formula 1 watches simply leaves the competition behind in the dust.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Grande Date features chronograph functions adjusted at 1/10 second resolution, a tachymeter, and a 60-minute timing scale engraved on a uni-directional rotating bezel. The case is made of fine brushed stainless steel and the caseback is also made of the same material. The case is 44 mm in diameter and 14.85 mm thick.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Grande Date features a black dial with circular Guilloche patterning while the dial window is made of scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire. The uni-directional rotating bezel is made of titanium carbide, with fine brushed steel numbers. For easy reading, hands and indexes have been polished and made luminescent with superluminova.

This TAG Heuer Formula 1 watch dial has silver hour and minute hands, a red central sweep hand capable of registering chrono seconds, tonal subdials at 3 o'clock position utilized to trace continuous seconds, accented subdials at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, and a large aperture for the date at the 12 o'clock position.

Precision Swiss quartz movement is made possible with a battery-powered Ronda caliber 5040B engine capable of measuring continuous small seconds, minutes, and hours. In addition, chronograph functions can measure 1/10 second resolution up to 30 minutes. A 1-second resolution is provided by a central sweep hand. It also features 10-hour range, split-time and add time functions.

The watch bracelet is made of fine brushed stainless steel and is 22 mm wide. It has a fold over clasp which can be deployed at a touch of a button. The protected screw-down crown is found at 3 o'clock, with two chrono pushers placed at 2 and 4 o'clock positions. The crown also has a double O-ring seal and steel titanium carbide bumper for added protection. The watch is developed to handle pressures up to 20 atm and depths up to 660 feet or 200 meters. These features makes this TAG Heuer Formula 1 right for water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, sking, and submersible diving.
