The main features of the Med Plus SIM include allowing you to choose from a range of deductibles ranging from $250 up to a maximum of $10,000; coverage periods of six to twelve months (not available in some states); and coinsurance options of 50|or 80|up to a maximum of $5,000 or $10,000. In addition, doctors and urgent care center visits will have a copay of $50 for the first three covered visits after which a 20|coinsurance will be applied after the deductible has been paid. And you have the option either to pay a single upfront fee or to pay monthly installments.

Short Term Medical Plans by United Health One. These offer three types of temporary health insurance plans. The Copay plan has deductibles ranging from $500 to $10,000 per term, after which the company shoulders 80|of covered expenses up to a maximum $10,000 and then 100|after this, as well as a $2,000 coinsurance maximum out-of-pocket per term. The Value plan offers a bigger level of coverage than the Copay plan with maximum $5,000 coinsurance out-of-pocket per term. The Value plan is the most affordable option, with deductibles of $500 to $5,000 per cause and $4,000 maximum coinsurance out-of-pocket.

Celtic Short Term Health Plans. Available in Gold and Silver, these are PPO type temporary plans that require you to get care from the company s roster of preferred health care providers. You have a choice of deductibles ranging from $500 to $5,000 and the freedom to choose the term of coverage from one to six months, with the option to reapply for as many as three terms for a maximum 12 months coverage. Benefits include 20|coinsurance for primary doctor and specialist visits after deductible; 20|coinsurance for generic and branded prescription drugs; a lifetime maximum of $1 million per covered individual as well as coverage for some types of preventive health care such as pap smears, prostate cancer screenings and mammograms. Hospital coverage includes emergency room, outpatient and hospitalization, with additional deductible per occurrence and 20|coinsurance after deductible. Coverage is offered for applicants as young as six months or as sold as sixty-four-and-a-half years. And you have the option of paying for your temporary health insurance plan using a money-saving solo payment or through a monthly EFT pay-as-you-go system.
