If this is not available, then wash your jersey in cold water. Washing with cold water allows for the colors to stay longer on your jersey as dye is retained better when washed in cold water.

Make sure to reverse the jersey or you wash the jersey inside out to further protect the prints on the outside.

Use gentle cycle only. Gentle cycle is recommended so that the prints on the jersey will remain pristine as long as possible. Rigorous tumbling can cause the prints to bubble out and peel off.

If you have the time, it is best to wash the jersey by hands. Just soak and lightly rub the inverted jersey in the key stink zones to remove the bacteria and dirt.

As for drying, avoid the dryer at all costs, even low tumble dry. Drying can have an adverse effect on the jersey's prints. To dry hockey jerseys, lightly wring the sweater, then hang it to air dry using a plastic hanger.
