Another exercise is to look at the same object. The patient should then move the object up and down, diagonally and sideways while he continues to look at it. The object however should always maintain the same distance from the eye.

The lazy eye should be trained to read small print such as those in newspapers and books. Crossword puzzles, word games and other reading materials are also good exercise tools for the lazy eye as the muscles will be forced to be used and then strengthened. This should be performed an hour daily while the stronger eye is covered or disabled.

There is a computerized video therapy game which corrects the brain's neurons that run the functions of the eyes. When one plays this for 20 hours, it is as if he is wearing an eye patch for 500 hours and gets the same corrective power. Doctors say that children should play an hour of this game daily so as to work out the lazy eye.

Eyesight can fail for numerous reasons that include eye disease, injury or lazy eye. Undergoing eye therapy treatments is important to address such problems.
