Chess is played by two people and has 32 pieces. Each player gets 16 pieces which has eight pawns, two knights, two bishops, two rooks, a queen and a king. Of all the pieces in the game, it is the pawn that is most often played. The game also has a grid or a playing board. It has sixty four squares in two different and alternating colors. For the high-end sets, they are mounted on a table therefore adding quality to the entire set. Usually, chess boards are made of marble or wood.
