There are watches where the band can be removed. Take off the band and place this in a glass cleaner in a cup. submerge this for fifteen minutes in the cleaner and then remove. Scrub afterwards with a clean brush and then rinse with water. If the band is not removable, make sure water does not get on the watch face as this may not be water-resistant. To clean the water face, get a clean cloth, dip it in water and then wring the water out. Apply the cloth on the watch face.

If these cleaning procedures do not work, you can also use baking soda. Get a clean cloth and dip it in a little water. Get a tiny amount of baking soda and rub this onto the band but not on the watch face. Make sure to rinse the band properly and then wipe off remaining moisture with a cloth.

If you would like to clean your stainless steel watches with a specific commercial cleaner, make sure you get one that is ideal for stainless steel jewelry such as timepieces. When you find scratches on your watch after you are through cleaning, you can visit your jeweler as he would be able to rub off these scratches. Remember never to apply bleach or any other damaging chemical on your steel watch as this can generate toxic fumes.

A stainless watch can last a long time when it is taken care of properly. You just have to ensure that you clean it with the right products.
