A Spell & Book of Shadows

In the second part of my talk with Florina Ofelia Albu I talk over in deeper detail closely what she has recorded in her own confidential Book of Shadows. Although she was happy to bestow a little of the information, she was not prepared to indulge me with a full understanding of each and every page.

The most ideal method for me to explain exactly what we looked at side by side is for me to seperate it into two sections. Firstly my breakthroughs about her Book of Shadows and secondly share with you one of her greatest and most basic special incantations. So primarily I wish to give you a better awareness concerning The Book of Shadows.

The Book of Shadows.
The Book of Shadows is a Wiccan log that consists of numerous items that a Witch may well require in their practice of the Craft. For a Witch their Book of Shadows is their most valuable form of record keeping. It records their spiritual journey normally incorporating any rutuals that they do integrating spellwork, aspirations and emotions. It is indeed a complete account and documentation of all the separate magical ins and outs and the final results of their spellwork. It is in the end a broad record of their history as a Witch and the alchemy that they have generated and experienced. Each Witch or Coven preserves their very own Book of Shadows.

When a coven installs an entrant the entrant will be asked to copy the Coven Book of Shadows, having said that most witches choose to put together their very own Book of Shadows. This is a very unique and intimate possession. A witch is at liberty to carry out anything at all that they so wish with their Book of Shadows; they opt to ornament it anyway they want. They can maintain almost everything in it that they should so fancy. Some decide to scribe it in runes. The name they decide is absolutely up to them. This is completely personal expression of their works. You will find out some witches name it the Book of Light, Book of Enchantment or even the Book of Reflections. It is totally up to the individual witches choice.

To begin with a witch before choosing to design their Book of Shadows has to decide if they wish to acquire a book to place their items in. Possibly they choose to make up a scrapbook or something else. Shall it be handwritten or will it be typed. Personally she explained she preferred the handwritten method. I browsed through it and it all looked very interesting and compelling. One of the things that did come up was the variation between a Book of Shadows and a Grimoire. The Book of Shadows is a private account and record. They may also keep a different book that carries all the information and facts that they might perhaps well use someday; this is filled with the Witches fact-finding and spells still to be cast, rituals and so forth.

I inquired her if she would allow me to note down how she had set up her Book of Shadows. She said some do this by subject matter (spells, rituals etc), others do this by chronicle order or different chapters. I recognized in hers she had in this type of format.

Generally she chooses not to share her Book of Shadows, having said that, this again is the private decision of the Witch.

And now a Spell ... And finally I asked her for one uncomplicated spell and here it is. Its primary goal is for you to grow more positive and more tuneful to what is around you, open to new chances. Its main objective is to rid you of all negativity.

You will need the following:
1 White-colored Candle
1 Black Candle
1 Green Candle
The White candle is for Positive Energy.
The Black Candle is for Negative Energy.
The Green Candle is for Healing.

Clear your mind and Light the White Candle and say the following:

Mother Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Spirit; "I ask thee to Cleanse my system of all unfavorable energies".

Light the Black Candle and repeat the same words as before, then after that Light the Green Candle and say the following; "Mother Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Spirit; I demand thee to Free and heal my body from all unfavorable forces. Blessed be !!"

You need to do this in a very secluded discreet setting perhaps a room where you will not be disturbed. When you have done this, unwind and unblock your mind for 15 minutes.

To eradicate yourself of detrimental energy you need a dish of water and the salt.

Sprinkle some salt on your altar cloth then say "I do bless this salt and make it fit for my rites. Blessed Be!"

Add salt to the water and hold up the bowl towards the sky.

Then say out loud "Let this bowl be the receiver of all the negativity, to ensure I am cleansed and whole again"

Place the bowl back down dipping your fingers and thumbs of both your hands into the water and imagine all the negative thoughts moving out of your body into your fingers and into the bowl. You will undoubtedly feel much lighter.

This task completed remove your hands shaking all drops of water off them into the bowl.

Throw away the polluted water into the earth.
