Place a small amount of these agents on a clean cloth and rub it in a circular motion on the leather. Allow this to dry. After drying, get a leather moisturizer, apply this on another piece of cloth and then rub this on the bag again in a circular motion. This would make your leather bag shine. Expect your leather bag to darken on its own as time passes by.

If your vintage handbag is made of suede, you can brush this using an upward stroke with a thick towel or a suede brush. Take off dry stains using a coarse eraser's tip. Get a fabric brush or lint so as to take away dirt inside the bag. Afterwards, wipe this utilizing a moist cloth.

Never use a toothbrush when cleaning hardware as this may lead to scratches. You can also call the manufacturer if there is a need to repair or replace straps, lining or other hardware.
