There are a few different oven parts that help the oven to work as a unit to cook your food. Gas ovens are a bit different and their primary oven parts include the igniter, the wire racks, a gas line, the pilot light, and a temperature sensor. The two different types of oven use different types of power to cook food. Electric ovens just need an electric cord and outlet in order to access electricity. They are usually attached to a heavy-duty wall socket that can channel large amounts of electricity. Gas ovens, on the other hand, need to be hooked up to a gas line. They usually include a safety valve that helps to make sure no harmful gas leaked into the house.

Food is cooked inside the ovens in the same manner, either on the metal racks or the broiler tray. Most ovens have oven parts that include two different racks. Sometimes, you can adjust the height of the racks on the inside of the oven. Both oven styles have temperature sensors that allow them to heat to a certain temperature and then hold that temperature on an even level.
