As we live our lives, difficulties cause our downfall, achievement causes us to rise, and challenges become a never-ending companion. Although not established as an academic discipline, growth is a result of our experiences as we age. Ultimately, we gain life's wisdom. But sometimes, we hear people mutter 'if only'. Is that an indicator of regret ? It may well be. And do not let it haunt you. Here are some thoughts you can pick on as you start your endeavor to personal growth.

Listen more. Say less. We all have a tendency to let the world know how smart we are and how educated we are with some things being talked about. Well, it may add up to your knowledge if you learn to start listening more. Discover what people have to say. Hear them talk and observe how they say things. You will learn behaviors that you can use to make people listen to you too.

Welcome surprises. This century is marked by the attitude of knowing where to go and the need for assurance. Along the way, because of our devotion to a plan, we ignore the beauty of our challenges. While your plans are there to stay, the path that you go through will only present itself once. Remember that when you get the thing you want, the next one will be a different story. Welcome what pains and joys you may encounter along the way and the next time, you will know better. Learn from what you experience and do not commit the same mistakes.

Learn to share. Selfishness has a psychological detriment . It may even take the form of a sickness. Sharing is not and may even win you a friend.
