These are very good places to find leads, because folk know you. You'll be able to find other people in related firms if you join a networking group and share leads with them. For example if you sell automotive products you could hook up with somebody who sells autos, but ensure that this strategy is a two-way street, you should usually provide incentives for those that do offer you leads.

Prospect leads can be discovered in abundance at trade shows, but this may be an expensive way of finding leads and it will also take up a lot of your time. Your target audience is there, so don't hide behind your PC network with people. You show your character and practice attraction selling, or else you will have wasted your time and cash.

You will soon learn to identify potential prospects and gather relevant info from them. Find out their business and be amiable. Attraction selling is a strong thing!
