If you are an avid gamer, you would have probably heard about the Avenger controller, the Xbox and PlayStation controller modification gadget that made headlines back in May of 2012. It was the talk of the gaming industry-so much so that it sold out from all stores within a day of release.

Nowadays, the Avenger and the Avenger Elite controllers can be bought in stores and online. And with all the hype attached to it, you might think that buying one for your son or for your sons will be a great idea. Well, guess what? Think again.

Reason #1: The Avenger Controller is Expensive

Each controller costs $50. If you have two sons, they would be clamoring to each get a turn, or worse, play with it at the same time. So to look unbiased between your kids , you would certainly have to buy each their own controller. Can you see your $50 bills going down the drain?

You only have one kid? You might think the heavens have been merciful. Think again! If you have a kid who is an avid a gamer as you are, you probably have all the latest consoles sitting within your display rack. And then your kid will go crying that you do nothing but play with his stuff all day, and you will hate him or her for it. But then again, you and your child can always have something in common to bond about.
