2. If salary is not negotiable, then find what is negotiable – There may be other aspects of your compensation that are negotiable. Obviously, salary is the best, but you may be able to get a one time bonus or increased vacation time at the beginning. The key is to find out what is negotiable at the beginning and negotiate those points as opposed to the ones that re not negotiable at all.
