In order to get into the mindset of MLM prospecting, you need to listen to those who are good at it. Learn from them and stay with what's working. Here are some suggestions that will boost your efforts.

So your thinking to yourself... Why would this guy suggest learning to ask better questions when there are easily downloadable scripts to use.

Seriously I have nothing against scripts. They are awesome. But... scripts don't work without you learning to ask questions while actively listening. I know you have received those supper time calls from a telemarketer who you could tell was reading from a script. You know the ones where you can't get a word in edgewise until they have finished. Because this was more important to them then actually taking the time to find out if what they had for you was a good fit... for you!

Whatever you do... Don't be that person. Again there is nothing wrong with prospecting scripts. But will it increase your "MLM prospecting" results? Nope! Try some of the questions below on your prospects instead.
A Couple MLM Prospecting Questions for You

Below are a couple MLM prospecting sample questions for you to try out:

1. Hey would you consider a side project as long as it didn't interfere with what you are doing currently? This is a great question because it is low resistance, a great opener and it works for any opportunity. This is a question you can ask yourself... and answer to yourself... remove yourself from the business mindset and think would YOU be? If the answer is NO from your prospect it's most likely they detect an un-confident approach. But if the answer is no to this question then you can ask...

2. Would you know of anyone that DOES want to make extra money in their spare time? Ensure you place the same emphasis on the DOES, it will set off a bell in their head and they will take note that you are motivated and don't care about the NO you got, and will think they may be missing out on something. In any case you probably will get a referral.

3. I know this isn�t a fit for you but do you know any (fill in the occupation here) that might want to make extra money from home?
This is really powerful. It sets them up for a testimonial based pitch. It is how the legends of network marketing built huge businesses. For example, whatever occupation you are asking about, make sure you have a story prepared from someone in your company. The real gangster way to overcome objections is to not, but just to reply back with an awesome product or income story from someone in your team or company.
MLM Prospecting Questions put You in the Drivers Seat

Posing the right questions puts YOU in control. Takes the pressure off you and places it on the prospect. When you learn to listen, prospects will without prompting give you the ammunition you need to guide them where you want to take them. Asking the right questions will put you in the drivers seat of your business.
