Perhaps the easiest way to explain affiliate marketing is that it is a way to earn money online where you as a marketer are paid for helping a business promote a product or service.

There are a number of forms of these kinds of promotions but in most cases it would involve someone who is a blogger earning a commission when a person follows a link on their blog to another site and then they may buy something.
