Using Your New Garlic Peeler Tube

Initially, you need to remove the clove of garlic from the head part. You may then place the cloves on the cutting board. But if the cutting board is too small, you may position the cloves of garlic on a bowl and simply place them on the cutting board one by one if you are about to peel and cut them. After peeling and cutting, you may then place the cloves in another bowl.

Slicing

As soon as you place all the cloves in the cutting board or the bowl, you may cut off the bottom part for each clove. This is the part that was previously attached to the base of the head. In order to do this step effectively, you need to use a sharp knife. You may then discard the sliced bottom part.

Placement

After this, you have to place the garlic peeler tube on its side while on the cutting board. You need to place the clove inside the tube with the bottom part first. This will keep the sides of the clove parallel to the edges of the peeler tube.

Pressing

You may then press down on the tube using the heel of your hand. You should do this directly over the garlic clove. You know that you have done enough pressing if you can already feel the firm giving of the clove under your palm.

Rolling

You need to maintain consistent pressure as you start to move your hand in a rolling fashion. You must remember that in order to get the best results, you have to perform this step back and forth.

Skin Removal

Rolling the clove of garlic will take around five to ten seconds. At this point, you should hear the skin of the garlic crackle. This will clearly indicate that you have successfully removed the skin of the garlic off the clove.

Flushing

After this, you need to extract the clove from the tube. You may do this by flushing out the contents of the tube using running water. You have to do this with the rest of the cloves.
