Reply to things other people have said. Replying to tweets with questions or comments is always appreciated. It will only take you a minute or so to reply, and it's well worth the time. If something confuses you, ask them a question. You don't have to say anything brilliant -a brief compliment is plenty. Be proactive about connecting with people on Twitter. The most effective networkers understand the value of opening up the lines of communication. Doing this kind of thing helps you gain a more personal and loyal following on Twitter.

It really strengthens your presence on Twitter when you retweet messages that impress you. The person who created the message will know when you retweet it, for he or she will get an email. So the author will know who retweeted it, and they'll certainly appreciate this. This puts you in good graces with your followers (who see the interesting tweet) and the message's creator (who knows his/her tweet has been shared). If this message's author isn't already following you, he or she may start at this point. Maybe they will even retweet something you have said! Twitter is a unique and powerful social media site. The influence of Twitter even extends beyond the internet, as the media often reports on who tweeted what. Even though it's mainly considered a social site, that doesn't mean it can't be leveraged for business purposes. The key is to gain followers who are truly interested in the type of products you're selling.
