How to conquer being a Newbie in Internet Marketing?

I would say almost everyone comes into Internet Marketing thinking that they need to know everything on day 1, and don't take the time to sit back to realize that this is a learning experience. One thing about being in this industry that I absolutely love is that I am always learning, but it was not long ago I was a newbie to internet marketing, and did not what the heck I got myself into.

So, how do you conquer and get out of the newbie zone of internet marketing. This answer is different for everyone, because we all have different way we learn and retain knowledge, but the concept is fairly simple. And that is Rule #1 you should right down is DO NOT OVERCOMPLICATE IT, KEEP IT SIMPLE.

A lot of newbies, heck even some veterans, believe that nothing can be "so easy," so they overcomplicate things without evening know they are.

The concept is literally to get as many people aka "traffic," a word you will hear quite often in this industry, to your site. Your site could also be called a: landing page, capture page, squeeze page, etc. What these are is a site that has your affiliate link tied to it, so if someone buys your product or service, you will get the credit. It is really that SIMPLE. There is not much more to Internet Marketing than that. This is a numbers game, and you never know who you are going to sign-up. There are people making millions and millions of dollars in this industry, and there is no reason you can't either. But you have to keep it simple, especially while you are in the newbie stage. Otherwise, if you overcomplicate it, what will happen? You will quit.
When you sign-up for any affiliate or MLM company there should be a referral link that tell you to promote. That referral link is where you will send your "traffic" to.

So, now that you understand the basic concept of driving traffic to the capture page, lets talk about traffic resources. Now, there is a lot of traffic generating tools out on the web, but you have to be careful that as a Newbie you do not get taken advantage of. There are people out there who are not always concerned with your best interest, so always talk to your sponsor (the person you joined under) for any advice.

The biggest traffic sources are going to be: social media platforms (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.), classified ads, solo ads, etc.

All you have to do is go to Google and search traffic strategies, to get some ideas, but I warn you as a Newbie to not get sucked into trying to find the secret. So many gurus and crazy people are out on the web and don't care about you, only want your money. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get a buck. For instance, some guru may say for $20 I will give you a 100,000 leads or show you the "secret" to getting traffic to your website, when in reality they are pulling your chain. Then what happens you get mad and quit, and are one of the ones who call the Internet Marketing Industry a scam. So be aware, this is your warning.

Now that you understand the concept of getting traffic to your landing page and how to find some traffic sources, the last thing I want to share with you is, HAVE FUN.

Have fun with this new adventure you are getting yourself into. Don't put in 12 hours days trying to figure everything out, because it is impossible, there is always something to learn. Find your niche, appeal to your niche, market to them, and make money.
