Identify Your Target Market



If your are a Network or Internet Marketer or anyone who is trying to make an income online then you know (or at least I hope that you know) that the more you know who your Target Market is (the people who would buy your product/service) then the more leads you can attract to your business.



I am going to lay out a plan for those of you who have no idea who your Target Market is. Your Target Market is basically this...... ask yourself who would be the perfect person to buy what you have to offer. What are their problems? What do they do? What problem would they have to have for you to be their solution? I will go a little bit deeper into this....



WHO



Who are the people you are trying to get in touch with? Do not skip this part because if you don't know WHO then you wont know HOW to reach them. What is their occupation? How old are they? What type of income do they make yearly?

Answer these questions very clearly because not everyone wants or needs what you have! Marketing is about what THEY want not about what you THINK they should have and convincing them why.

What are their interests? What do they enjoy? What books/magazines do they subscribe to? These questions will help you identify what people like and don't like. Trying to sell to everybody is selling to nobody!!!



What Are The Problems Your Market Is Facing?



Now the best way I go about getting this information is thinking of 10 problems your Target Market has. If you have been in this industry for a while just think of the problems you had when you first started out. Think of the things your Target Market always complains about and what they are always asking questions about. This should easily give you 10 problems they face.



What Are Some Solutions For Them?



As you know, entrepreneurs get paid to solve other peoples problems! Your income is directly related to your service to the people. Now that you have your 10 problems, your job is to find those solutions. Also think outside of whatever it is that you offer. Think in terms of anything that could possibly be a solution.

People respond better when they believe you have their best interest in mind and not just only your product. You must always think of yourself as your own customer so you can better serve others.



What Do They Want?



Now that you know who your Target Market is, their problems, and some possible solutions, it is time to step into their shoes for a little. What is it that these folks ultimately want? What people are struggling with, mixed with what they want is where you become the "bridge" to how they can get it. Jot down 10 things your market really wants and that should give you all the information you need to give it to them in the correct way.



Having a clear vision on who your Target Market is, their problems, and the solutions is important because it helps you to know WHO you are talking to and WHAT it is that they really want to solve. Knowing what your Target Market wants helps you give it to them! Simple As That!
