Also referred to as Multi-level Marketing, Network Marketing is the effective combination of four elements. Through taking a closer look on each element, it will be interesting to see how this strategy works its magic.

First of the four elements is word of mouth. For every product or service, the best endorsement is through word of mouth. You can see yourself browsing the internet for reviews on a particular Android App. You can also count how many times you called a friend, asking if a wrinkle-removing cream is as effective as it claims to be as depicted on its tv commercial. It is safe to say therefore that the best endorsement one can come up with is the actual use of a product or experience of the service. In Network Marketing, the distributors do not only study their products, most of the time, they started out as plain customers themselves and have tried out almost every item to see if they really work.

People Person

The second of the four elements of Network Marketing is effective interaction with other people. Surely, one can tell stories on how valuable a particular product can be, but without the art of knowing the people and getting along with them, no sale can be made. And without a sale, it is still further impossible to create a downline.

Convincing Power

The third of the four elements of Network Marketing is the convincing power. This one is highly related to the ability to connect with others. Still, these two are distinct from each other. The former, ability to connect, refers to the seller's skill or knack for putting himself on the shoes of the other and thus, feeling what the other person feels. The latter, convincing power, however, is the capability to show the other person his perspective, making him understand it and eventually, have the same perspective. The first is sensitivity while the second is persuasion.

The Beauty of Earning

The fourth and last in the elements of Network Marketing is the beauty of earning. One may not be convinced with amazing products and services coupled with sweet words but the possibility of earning extra money rings a more desirable bell. Nothing can be sweeter than enjoying your best-loved products and services while gaining additional profits.

Network or Multi-level Marketing, as its name implies, involves a number of stages in introducing the commodity with the opportunity of earning an extra sum on each phase. First, the distributor earns from every sale he makes. This is followed by the second phase, making a recruit and thus, creating a downline. The downline then makes his own sales from which the distributor also gains profits. For the distributor, this is the second level of gaining profits. As the downline creates more sales, he generates more earnings not only for himself but also for the distributor who recruited him. Eventually, the downline will generate his own downline, hence creating another level of sales and additional income.

The proportionate mixture of Network Marketing has made it one of the most effective marketing and sales strategy. Yet, what makes it more effective is the person exercising its proportionate mixture in every chance that he gets.
