Network Marketing Success - Train Your Brain For Success (Part 2)

This is the second in a series about using affirmations and rewiring or training our brain to achieve network marketing success. Of course, it is not just our conscious mind, we have to get to our subconscious mind. We have to get it to believe that the new idea, concept or belief that we want our mind to accept is really true. We have to repeat it over, and over, and over again so that ultimately we erase the old programming that has frequently been around since childhood and replace the old with the new "software".

One important lesson is, you can't let your new determination to change the way you think be interrupted. Admittedly, that is very difficult to do. It is really easy to get up in the morning, stand in front of the mirror for a few minutes, say your new affirmations, then head off into your day and slip back into old "stinkin thinkin". This of course is one of the reasons is it so hard for many of us to change our game and actually imbed the new affirmations into our daily thought process.

Network marketing success frequently requires us to change our thinking and accept new processes that were previously scary. Many networkers struggle with prospecting and phone calling. This is especially true if our new upline sponsor has convinced us (as they usually do) that, "This product sells itself, everyone is going to want to get involved. Just go show it to all your friends and family and they will want to get involved". And as many of us have experienced, at the end of "just showing it to all of our friend and family with gusto, we have no more friends and family. They hide when they see us coming and quit answering the phone. If you didn't have a fear of prospecting before, you sure have one now.

So how do we overcome some of these things? Well one way is to develop a set of affirmations and thoughts that lead us to the desired result. In previous articles I have talked about creating a vision for what we want to become and we can use affirmations to help.

Affirmations have to be in the positive. You can't talk about what you don't want. You have to affirm what you do want. One of my favorite affirmations and this is a good one for people wanting to rise up the ranks and have network marketing success is, "I am the leader that people are looking for". Notice this is present tense, I am, not I will become. If you repeat that often enough with conviction, your subconscious mind will begin to believe it and move you in that direction. You will become the leader that people are looking for.
