I got worn out seeing my hubby's neckties hanging on a piece of twine and resolved to search for a more effective alternative - a tie and belt organizer.

During my research, I found the SmartSpace Accessory Hanger and decided to try it.

The SmartSpace Accessory Hanger is a plastic hanger that's been covered or flocked with velvet. The specific ones I got are black. Each has 11 hooks on which you can hang your accessories.

When I received the hangers, I was pleased by the quality of the packaging - and the hangers too. I suppose that the seller of the hanger wanted to safeguard the hooks on the hanger from damaging easily that's why they invested in such strong packaging - I like that. I also like the fact that the magnetic closure box in which the hangers came is reusable - good.

There was a little fluff on the black hangers, but that easily cleaned off. I'm unsure why the fluff was there because the packaging itself was very clean and neat. Once cleaned off, I gave my hubby his gift and told him what I wanted him to use it for.

His excitement over a simple hanger was surprising to me. He quickly hang his ties on the three hangers and stood back to check out his work with a huge smile on his face. Wow! I didn't realize how simple things can make him happy.

I actually had to get another set of hangers, because hubby has very many ties that could not fit on the three hangers I initially bought. Plus I thought that the hangers were a good accessory organizer for me too - I realized that I can hang my lighter scarves, and necklaces on it.

I like the SmartSpace Accessory Hanger because it really looks much neater than what hubby was using before. The fact that he got so excited about the hanger was an added advantage.

Since it's covered with velvet, the hanger has a really elegant look. And the velvet also gives the tie a non-slip quality that's really useful for keeping your accessories in place.

The tie and belt hanger is made of ABS plastic, which according to my research, is quite strong. My hubby has hung some really heavy belts on one of the additional hangers that I bought and the hooks have not broken. So I 'd say that this is quite a strong hanger.

I also like the fact that it's simple to use - a few of the other tie and belt organizers that I checked out looked a little difficult to "set up". The SmartSpace Accessory Hanger is a simple hanger; get it out of the packaging, hang your ties, belts, scarves or whatever other accessories you like, and mount it. Simple!

My hubby likes to hang his ties and belts on the hanger then mount the hanger on a hook on the wall - I guess he just loves being able to easily see all his accessories displayed there. I hang my accessories in the closet. You can have it both ways.

I would have really loved it if the metal hook on the hanger could swivel - I suppose we can't have it all. This is not a big deal really.

You do have to take care about hanging light-colored scarves on the hanger as it could discolor them - that's a warning from the seller that's on the box. I haven't tried doing that, so if you're more bold you can give it a try and see if your scarves get a little stained.
