Read a new material - This could be a magazine, a good book or any reading material that you do not typically spend time. Reading can help increase your knowledge and improve your outlook in life. Below are simple mini habits that you can start to make reading part of your everyday life.

Create a list of the books that you would like to read for this month. Maintain an electronic list to make sure that you will not misplace your reading list.

Finish reading an old issue of your favorite magazine and toss it right away in your recycling bin.

Link the material to drawings, colors, images and pictures if you are learning new vocabulary words or terminologies. For instance, draw in your mind the symbol of a definition.

Allow a time for a vacation with family or friends or even by yourself. Taking a break is essential for you to have positive perspective in life. Plus, it will help you to function well in doing all the things you need to accomplish.

Unleash your creativity and resourcefulness through doing the list of simple activities below:
Review each day an artistic material that inspires you.

Bring with you a journal wherein you can scribble anytime the textures, images and colors that catches your eyes.

Create a list of some "coping styles" that you can use whenever you are pushed to do the bad habit. Make a promise through signing a contract between yourself that you are going to use this coping list instead of doing and continuing the bad habit.

Exercise regularly. Exercise helps boost levels of brain chemicals responsible for promoting health such as norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin. These three chemicals help relieve symptoms of depression and effects of stress. View exercise as a tool to lose weight, live longer or prevent illnesses and diseases - all these benefits are the effects of exercise in the long run. Try viewing exercise as your daily habit that can help you become happier, reduce stress, have a positive perspective and enhance your frame of mind.
