Painters and Decorators-Find them Quick

I'm looking for Painters and Decorators, let me explain, the wife and I moved into our two bedroom flat 18 months ago and it was a fixer upper. We haven't done much decorating since we moved in and it does need some work. Now the wife's mother is coming to stay in about three weeks time (I'm really looking forward to that) and we need to decorate the lounge and the second bedroom. The walls want stripping and god knows what the plaster will look like when I can see it, and oh yes the wood work is a horrible shade of purple. Well I work 6 days a week and really don't have time to do any decorating, so I need to find some painters and decorators and find them quickly.

Where do I look to find decent painters and decorators who wont charge me an arm and a leg ? I looked online but there's so many to choose from I don't know where to start, well I looked at the local papers to see if there's a decorator there, and yes there was and I phoned the guy up and told him what I needed, but I didn't like the sound of him so no luck there. But that day a flyer came through our door and it was like divine intervention, a Painters and Decorators flyer that sounded really good and they had a website which I liked and I saw pictures of work they had done and I was impressed with what I saw.

Well I phoned up the decorators and they came round that evening, we discussed the decorating job and he gave me his ideas of the best way to do the job and he gave me an all in price, (a Quotation) I agreed the price he gave me and we worked out a start date between us. The Painters and Decorators where starting the job next Monday morning and I made it my job to clear the lounge and second bedroom of all furniture and curtains.

Monday morning arrived and so did the Painters and Decorators with all their painting equipment and dust sheets and steps.
Well they took five days to do the job and I was really pleased with the results, the colour scheme we chose looked good and it really brightened up the flat. The painters and Decorators took a couple of photographs of their work so they could put them on their website, I shook their hands and paid them their money and said that I would recommend them to all my friends. And yes I would recommend them.
