What IS PERISCOPE

It is a FREE smart phone app owned by Twitter that allows you to broadcast live around the world real time...

WHY

It goes without saying video is hot and is 120 time more likely to be viewed then a blog post. Live streaming is even hotter. Periscope is only in its beginning stages ( at the time of this post ) Periscope has 14 million users in it's first 4 month... but only 1% is actually scoping. The face is you can connect and learn form others... 40 yes that's not a typo 40 years of content is being watched every day on periscope

Getting Started

Simple you download the app connect to twitter ( I recommend it ) Create a Periscope Username. Fill out your bio and use a professional image... Don't call yourself a product or company unless you own the company or product.. Remember you want to brand you as a leader.

Set Up Your Profile

I recommend you purchase a domain name... Think Who are you? Who do you serve ( speak to that audience) Use keywords... what do you plan on sharing add your blog and tell others how they can contact you... ADD EMOJIS ;)

As a example I purchased http://Scopefreetraining.com and I forward that all different offers to my domain during my scope... ( powerful )

Tip: Auto save your Broadcasts ( from your profile ) it will save to your phone so you can re share your scopes

Follow other scopers search ... people stop because they don't know...

GET FOLLOWERS
Engage with others on Periscope and engage with their audiences. Follow other users in your target niche and that are active.

Tell other s social networks you are on Periscope

Look at users and see if they are following other users. Ask your audience to follow and share when scoping.

Be consistent with periscope and ask people to follow and share (ask minimum of 3 times)

Use hash tags in your titles.

Run contests to get more followers. Like to the person that gives me the most harts will receive a free 30 min coaching session... value of $________ (you decide)

Add a banner to your blog to let your audience know you are on Periscope... a specific time and day.

Sending a Periscope Direct Message

Start a Scope like normal when you are setting up the scope
Select Private instead of Public
Select the users you Want to scope with
They will get notified and if they miss it they will be sent the recording
You could thank the people that followed you or start new conversations or do private training. This is the time you can be creative what ever you do don't throw up on people

Tools of the Trade (Optional)
You don't need a lot of tools but if you spend about $250 dollars you can get everything you need to take your Periscoping to that next level.

Talking about tablet stands, tripods, selfe sticks, window suction cup, lighting for low level environments... If you want the list let me know. One I recommend is a lavalier mic (lapel mic)

Re – Purpose your content

Share you scopes there is a app IFTTT ( If that then this ) create a connection between your twitter to Facebook.
