Your Daily Facebook Posts Can Be Ruining Your Business

I bet you all read that headline and went wait no, it's got over a Billion people on there and millions at any moment, true! So, how could my post(s) ruin my business on Facebook? Let's think back to when we all started out in a new journey whether it be going after a degree, a new position at work, start a new business, a fitness journey, etc. What did most of us all do first, jump online and post how excited we were and waited for everyone to respond!

Now, don't get me wrong social media is great for personal life and can be good for business but the two must be kept separate. I personally love to get on and see how family and friends are doing that live all over the globe. It's great to catch up with old classmates or co-workers. It's one of the best avenues around today to keep in touch with each other! Because, you know we all can't pick up a phone anymore LOL

But, how many of us like to see a person taking up your Facebook feed with nothing but their newest best product of the week or month?? You know the one that does nothing but post anything and everything about their opportunity. Posting picture after picture or calling people out if they don't get in, or saying this is the world's best XYZ! This is what is killing your business, people are going to unfollow you, unfriend you, and/or block you. So now you're losing viewers and potential prospects!! You have to have a good balance if you are going to only use one page (which isn't recommended to build a big empire). That balance should be about ¼ business to ¾ your life, you maybe can squeeze 1/3 and 2/3 if done correctly. But, people get on Facebook to see what you are up to, not to be puked on with your business only! I can almost guarantee you that if you make the simple ¼ to ¾ and add a Facebook Business page that your business will once again be in a growing phase! The simple fact is that people will go to your page because they want to see your business!!

So, since we all have those friends and well Facebook has now added this new cool feature a while back, it's called "See First'" and "Get Notifications." So, let's start with "Default", that's simply the default setting that lets us see every post by a person, just unclick that to stop getting notifications from them. Then there is "Get Notifications", this is giving you a "alert" when so and so posts something new, and my personal favorite is "See First" this allows you to see a person's post anytime you login, you get theirs first in your news feed. I love it has I get to see the likes of Ray Higdon, Rob Fore, Tony Lucero, and Gary Vaynerchuk (to name a few) anytime I login and what they have posted recently!! Always Nuggets waiting for me!!
