Note: You must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully present in the U.S. to get Medicare Part A and/or Part B.
When you first register in Medicare, you are issued an Original Medicare. However, you have the ability to choose various ways to get your Medicare coverage.

If you prefer to have prescription drug coverage only, you can sign up for Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D). You can also buy a medicare supplement plan that adds coverage to your plan.

What are medicare supplement insurance policies?
Although Original Medicare has a wide coverage, it does not cover all health care supplies and services. Medicare-approved companies, such as MediGap Pro, offer medicare supplement insurance that can help pay some of the costs, such as copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance, that the Original Medicare does not cover.
You do not need to sign up for an annual subscription for Medicare. However, you do have the chance to go over your insurance coverage and apply changes. Keep in mind that you need to make sure your plan still meets your needs for the succeeding year.
