Here is a very unique story about a young woman on the hunt for little doll parts. And how she started.

Ever question, while you til the soil in your garden, simply what lay there before? Or, possibly a farm home with a family?

Early Leaders frequently homesteaded in an area that was far from their neighbors. Raising a household was frequently complete of occasions which triggered them to move. Here is one story.

As soon as upon a time circa the late 1800's or the early 1900's a household lived at a home-place snug in the southern countryside. Sometime in the early/mid part of the 1900's, the house location burned and the family sold the land and moved away.

The ruins of the burned house place were cleared and the land returned to scrub and wilderness. After several years had actually passed, the new owner offered the land to my parents.

My folks cleared trees and underbrush and made a huge garden. There wasn't any indication that a home had actually been there other than for the bits of broken things that was uncovered from disking the soil and washed up by rains.

He and I had many discussions about the doll parts and the antique methods of the body designs and makings of dolls. There were a lot of smart and innovative methods that dolls were made and put together at that time that there is no informing what any of the dolls initially appeared like that our parts went too.

I have actually wondered many times about the little ladies that initially owned the dolls. I visualize in my mind the little women offering the dolls life, making them dance and sing; laughs and tea parties and sleeping snugly in their little arms.
