Weekly Shots...
My OB doctor has decided that I would benefit by continuing to have progesterone shots during this pregnancy as well. I received them once a week when I was pregnant with my last child as I have a tendency to go into premature labor. This is nothing that I want to go through again. My third child was born very premature and weighed only 2lbs at birth. I was sitting beside an incubator for nearly 2 months waiting for her to gain weight and praying that she remain healthy. There was a scare of necrotizing enterocolitis after a while and for those of you that do not know what this is, it's when part of the intestine starts to die. She was prepped for surgery that day and as I paced up and down the halls, she was being pumped full of antibiotics and medications in an attempt to stop the destruction in her tiny body. Scared doesn't even begin to cover how I felt. Thanks to the doctors and the men and women in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Until) Willow is a bright and smiling little girl that takes it very personally when you mix up her lego sets. Needless to say... anything can go wrong. Having a premie baby is no joke. It's very serious. Some of you young mothers may be anxious or tired of being pregnant, but believe me, toughing it out and making sure that your baby has all of the time that he or she needs in order to develop is very important!
Morning Sickness Ebbs...
Thankfully, my morning sickness hasn't gotten any worse and I've been craving homemade french fries. Ooooh so good! lol Dustin took me to this great little place to get french fries and a sub and I have to admit that I ate like a total pig. I don't mind admitting it. I think it's fairly funny and so does he. Mostly because I don't normally eat that much so we're both taking it as a good sign. I've been a little nervous about getting sick, but it seems as though, so far at least, I'm being spared any harsh sickness from the pregnancy.
Should Have Known...
I was sitting here thinking about it and I was wondering why I didn't start getting creative or "nesting" when I first got pregnant. It's a typical sign for me to do something really creative or be inspired to do something creative when I'm pregnant. It's usually a great tip off. Then I realized... I just HAD to go to the store one night and I HAD to buy a crochet hook and yarn and start a baby blanket for Dustin's little sister's baby girl. Sometimes I'm so dense...
