1. Highlight customer rating and experiences in posts and online content – don't keep your 5-star ratings on your page. Although these ratings can already boost your sales by 18%, you can jack up these figures even more when you actively spread the word about these ratings. Mention a product's star rating on your social media post. Feature a testimonial or an exceptional customer experience in your article posts.
2. Incentivize customers for creating their own content – user-generated content is a big thing these days. Use it for your reputation marketing by convincing your customers to make a video or write a blog post for you. Research shows that, among the millennial market, about 82% consider user-generated content as a more credible gauge of a product's quality.
Make it a sweet deal for your customers by offering discounts and freebies. Holding an online contest is also a great way to encourage customers to send in their own photos and videos featuring your brand.
3. Have a referral program for your top customers – invite your top customers to refer their friends and family to experience your brand. Make it even more worthwhile for them by giving them an incentive. You can be creative in your referral scheme, from outright rewards per referral to more elaborate tiered gifts depending on the number of referrals they make.
Take the nature of your business into consideration when you draw up your referral rewards program. It would be ideal to reward them with your own products or services, or allied products at the very least. Don't forget to follow through on the leads that you get. You have to ensure that you give them the same 5-star experience that their referrals enjoyed.
You can gain a lot of headway in terms of share of mind from reputation marketing. Drum up positive talk about your brand and let the entire online world know about it. Regularly ask for customer feedback and reviews to give you something fresh to talk about when you market your reputation.
